Today I watched you do the impossible

Crazy that this happens more days than not

You just did what I never thought was even plausible

You acted in deed, with your heart, in truth, in thought

Today I watched you do the impossible

At times this world seems dark, cold, and chaotic

In this turbulence, you are the calming tide we need

You always do what others can’s, right down to the methodic

You answer the hurting soul, the desperate parent, the hopeless plead

I see the hungry, homeless, the heartbroken hurt

And then there you are close by feeding, sheltering, and healing

This crazy world needs you, its true value you constantly reassert

You are the one who puts the pieces in their proper placing

As the days comes to an end, I see beauty, joy, and bliss

I always recap the graces of the day good, bad, and miraculous

I can’t imagine if you weren’t here today, everything the world would miss

The world would be a horrendous pandemonium if you weren’t so scrupulous

However, Today I watched you do the impossible

You didn’t just preserve someone’s life, but also their heart and soul

Today I saw you do the impossible and completely reverse the inevitable

To you, just a normal day, but to them, you removed them from their sinkhole
